The Inkerman vintage wine factory was sold to a tenant for 533,5 million rubles. For the last 18 years, the property complex has been leased, bringing the city 50 million rubles a year.

But starting this year, Crimean winemakers must completely transfer production to their own facilities—renting equipment is prohibited, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

All movable and immovable property of the Inkerman Winery with a land plot is now fully owned by the private company “Inkerman Vintage Wine Factory”. It has been clear for a long time that the state-owned enterprise needs to be sold. Although the tenant regularly pays to the budget, deducts taxes and pays salaries, he cannot invest in the leased property. And this is despite the depreciation of fixed assets by 70-80%.

The owner promised to invest about 5 billion rubles in production in the next two years, increasing turnover and the number of jobs. The director of the enterprise, Larisa Shemchuk, convinced the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol to allow the purchase of the plant, since the enterprise needs to develop, but this cannot be done at the old facilities.

“The most important thing is that this reconstruction, firstly, will add jobs. And I also emphasize: we will carry out reconstruction without in any way reducing productivity or stopping production,” Shemchuk noted and added that the task is even to preserve the park near the plant.

The plant in Inkerman was sold through an open tender. Currently, the enterprise is controlled by Optima JSC (St. Petersburg), founded in 2018 by Crimean winemaker Valery Zakharyin.

LLC "Inkerman Factory of Vintage Wines" was registered in 2003 in Inkerman.
