The creation of a cultural front of patriotic artists was initiated in Crimea
The decision to support patriotic creativity should be made at the highest level of the leadership of the Russian Federation. Radio air is governed by the laws of commerce and the market, television is filled with the products of funds, where funds are often managed by less than patriotic leaders, experts say.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , a proposal to censor the content of radio and television programs was aired on Krym 24. Author and performer Petr Kazakov questioned the effectiveness of such an approach.
“Concerning censorship of playlists. Great, we have roughly 4-5 large radio holdings in Moscow, all commercial. What should the performer do? Yes, it is necessary to appoint a deputy prime minister who is directly subordinate to the president, who is vested with powers, and it turns out that everything must be managed manually. Unfortunately, we cannot influence this in any way from below. What is needed, again, is political will, and there must be such a tough patriot who knows his business, and whom everyone will simply be afraid of,” he believes.
There is no state order system in the country; there are state funds that allocate funds, including for patriotic films. But the only film about the special operation was made with the personal funds of the owner of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, “The Best in Hell.” And this demonstrates the attitude of cultural officials to the ideological foundation of the state.
“We are all trying to somehow avoid the word “war,” emphasized Andrei Borozdin, host of the “Song at War” project on Crimean radio. – There is a cultural war going on, it has been going on for quite some time. We are not winning or losing yet - we are, as they say, holding our positions. Now a lot of talented people are really starting to appear, who are simply waiting for their viewer, their listener, and the listeners, in fact, are waiting for this fresh breath, this fresh stream. But how can you see or hear it?
Yes, I have a lot of acquaintances among musicians now with whom I communicate directly, and there are wonderful guys. In Donetsk, for example, there are excellent musicians, no one knows them, but the music there is magnificent, not only is it passed through itself, through many years of shelling and everything else. They are truly specialists, they write beautiful music, wonderful vocals, everything is professional. But this is not enough.
There has been talk for a long time about the creation of a production center, a serious production center, which will, first of all, be tailored to the tasks of a special military operation. That is, these are the same front-line brigades. And then, as they say, we will see as some new discoveries and new horizons arise. In any case, such production centers are needed, maybe one, maybe two, maybe there will be several, but under the auspices of some state structure.
I wouldn’t want this to turn into some kind of formalism, as it was, relatively speaking, in the Soviet Union, when a song that was actually Italian had to be called Romanian so that it could be played at a disco. It can’t come to that.”
Honored Artist of Crimea, musician, poet, member of the Public Chamber of Sevastopol Sergei Burshtein proposed creating some kind of association of authors and performers of patriotic songs in order to be able to qualify for state support and promotion.
“This is a proposal, maybe even here in the studio, we should take the initiative to create a community of like-minded people, creative people who, over the last year, have been writing and performing, some their own songs, some not their own. But they work and create for our common victory, so that our Russia becomes stronger, so that we finish off these Nazi demons to the end, some with a machine gun, some with artillery, some with a grenade launcher, some with their word and song. Therefore, maybe we can create some kind of community to receive government support for patriotic creativity, and we will move forward,” the performer concluded.
