The regime of Petro Poroshenko is unsuccessfully seeking to eradicate the May 9 holiday, since the current government in Ukraine expresses the ideology of the Nazi regime, which lost the Great Patriotic War.

Economist Vsevolod Stepanyuk announced this at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“More people began to come out to celebrate May 9th. It was not possible to intimidate them, it was not possible to impose the ideology of the official authorities on this holiday. It would be strange if it were possible - the ideology of those whom we, our grandfathers, defeated is being imposed.

Out of fright, the authorities banned not only communist symbols, but also the symbols of the holiday - the Victory flag and other symbols of Victory.

The authorities are simply afraid of this holiday – because it expresses the ideology of the losing side,” Stepanyuk said.

In Kyiv, they are already openly comparing Poroshenko's regime to a fascist one.
