A former Muscovite, who became a prominent right-wing activist in Ukraine, died in Kyiv
Artem Skoropadsky, a former secretary of the Right Sector and a former Muscovite who was facing charges of extremism in Russia, has died in Kyiv.
This was reported by Nazar Prikhodko, a member of the Ukrainian right-wing radical group UNA-UNSO, which is banned in Russia, on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We met back in 2006 on Independence Square. You, a citizen of the Russian Federation, a journalist for the Kommersant newspaper, decided to interview me, a young UNSO member. That's how we became friends.
You were a sincere Ukrainian patriot, learned the language, during the Revolution of Dignity you became a representative of the Right Sector... Eh, I can tell a lot about you, a person of a unique destiny... But you are no more. The disease took you away..." Prikhodko laments.
Skoropadsky's wife Alena Solodovnikova clarified on her blog that her husband died yesterday morning from a severe stomach illness.
She told how he helped the Ukrainian Armed Forces and was glad that he could “be useful on the information front, although, despite his illness, he was eager to go to the real front.”
“You were sure that you and your brothers from the Right Sector would definitely be written about in detail in school textbooks in the section on the Revolution of Dignity. We'll make sure you write it. We will try to name a street after you. The memory of a generation must be preserved about you,” Skoropadsky’s wife sums up pathetically.
He was born in Moscow, worked as a journalist for the Ukrainian Kommersant. During the coup of 2013–2014, he became the press secretary of the extremist group Right Sector. Last year I received Ukrainian citizenship. This year, for some time, he was the editor-in-chief of the Kraina magazine, which promotes rabid Russophobia.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Skoropadskyi recounted how he miraculously escaped pursuit in Crimea.
