Thousands of illegal shawarma stalls discovered in Kyiv
The Kiev authorities have begun dismantling illegal mobile shawarma outlets, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by Taras Panchiy, First Deputy Director of the Department of Urban Improvement of the Kyiv City State Administration.

According to him, the State Food and Consumer Service has created 16 groups that conduct inspections of mobile commerce. Those with violations are redirected to the city improvement department, which is responsible for subsequent verification of permitting documentation.
“All those points that the State Food and Consumer Service will transfer to us due to the fact that they do not have permits, they will be dismantled as quickly as possible. That is, cars (mobile points of sale) will be moved to the impound area. Now there are more than a thousand such illegal objects,” Panchiy noted.
In total, there are 8 dismantling teams working in the city. Their number is planned to increase by the end of the year.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, as of August 2, 83 cases of acute intestinal infection due to shawarma poisoning were recorded in Kyiv.
