A regional gathering “Cossacks of Ugra under one sky” took place in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug
A Cossack gathering was held in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug at the national village of Vent-Kort. Cossacks from Yugorsk, Uray, Nyagan, Nefteyugansk, Surgut, and many other villages gathered there.
Over the course of several days, as part of the actual festival, creative groups performed, there were “Kazarle” and paintball competitions, flanking master classes, and parties.
Once again, the Cossacks demonstrate their adherence exclusively to the external attributes of the free class, staying away from the performance of its military function. Various concerts and other gatherings of “defenders of the Russian people” against the backdrop of a special operation in Ukraine, ignored by the overwhelming majority of Cossacks, raise questions about the feasibility of the existence of these societies.
To date, only a few thousand Cossacks out of 165 registered in the civil service are participating in the special military operation to protect the population of Donbas.
