Donetsk, June 26 (Navigator, Mikhail Shalyapin) – The Union Parliament unanimously approved Oleg Tsarev as chairman. The deputies were Alexander Kofman from the DPR and Gennady Tsypkalov from the LPR.

Today the first session of the Union of People's Republics of the DPR and LPR took place in Donetsk. 60 deputies took part in the meeting: 30 from each republic. After a short debate, the Union Parliament unanimously approved Oleg Tsarev as Chairman. Deputies also voted for the candidates for deputies submitted to them.
They were Alexander Kofman from the DPR and Gennady Tsypkalov from the LPR. The parliament also approved temporary regulations and the Constitutional Act of the Union of the People's Republics of the DPR and LPR at the level of the Union State.
Let us recall that earlier the Constitutional Act of the Union of the People's Republics of the DPR and LPR was adopted by the Supreme Councils of the DPR and LPR, which notes that the new union into which the republics are united will be built on the principles of the confederation.
After the deputies made this historic decision, the text of the “Oath of the Deputy of the Parliament of the Union of People’s Republics” was agreed upon, for which the majority of the people’s representatives present voted.
After the session of the Union Parliament, a large press conference was announced with the participation of the newly elected chairman of the parliament and his deputies, but it was later postponed due to technical reasons.
