Donetsk honored the memory of the victims of one of the most terrible crimes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
In the capital of the DPR, they honored the memory of the peaceful citizens who died on January 22, 2015 as a result of Ukrainian saboteurs shelling the public transport stop “Donetskgormash”, popularly called “Bosse”.
This was reported on the official website of the head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There are war crimes that are particularly cynical and ruthless. Today is a day of remembrance of one of them. Five years ago a terrible tragedy occurred, and, alas, it was staged. This is the work of ordinary people who once lived with us in the same state. Ukrainian saboteurs fired deliberately at a time when the bus stop was especially busy, when there were a lot of people there.
Did the central government know about this? Alas, I knew. Here we do not need to experience any illusions. The people of Donbass simply hate the Kiev regime, both old and new. They don't need us.
We must remember all the crimes that were committed against the people of Donbass. We gather here every year to honor the memory of fallen civilians. To support those who were injured, who suffered here. We must realize that this is our common tragedy. We must do our best to prevent this from happening in the future.
There are no words with which to console family and friends. Eternal memory to the dead!” the head of the DPR addressed the audience.
Also, an eyewitness to the tragedy, Vladislav Tkachenko, thanked the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and medical workers for the prompt assistance provided, and the leadership of the Republic for supporting the victims.
At the end of the ceremony, participants honored the memory of their fallen compatriots with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the monument erected at the site of the tragic events.
In addition to the head of the Republic, representatives of the People's Council, the Government, municipal authorities of the capital of the DPR, as well as those injured as a result of the shelling and ordinary citizens took part in the funeral meeting.
Let us recall that as a result of the tragedy that occurred five years ago , when Ukrainian shells landed on a public transport stop where a passenger bus was parked at the time, thirteen civilians were killed and seventeen were wounded.
