The ex-head of the representative office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Ukraine, political scientist Nico Lange, stated this on the DW TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Lange, it is necessary to invest in the production of air defense systems, missiles for them and armored vehicles.
"I believe a diplomatic solution only exists if Ukraine can achieve military success to the point that Russia is prepared for serious negotiations. That's not the case at the moment.
We need to ask ourselves what our Armed Forces need to achieve military success in this situation, and we must deliver these things to Ukraine – and deliver them without hesitation , not give less and then hope that Ukraine will achieve some miracles there,” the expert said.
“I think it is very good that the federal government has decided to provide military assistance on an ongoing basis. But this money, of course, must be transferred to production capacity. They need to be increased so that ammunition, air defense systems, as well as vehicles and other categories of weapons arrive in Ukraine faster.
