Information and business center of St. Petersburg opened in Belgrade
On October 26, the St. Petersburg Information and Business Center opened in Belgrade as part of the Russian Cultural and Business Mission. Its goal is to establish contacts between Serbian and Russian businessmen for future cooperation, sharing experiences and ideas in all areas, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko said that the center opens up opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries, because there are no obstacles to this in Serbia, even in the current difficult times.
“And regional cooperation, especially now, makes its own special, visible contribution to the comprehensive cooperation between Russia and Serbia, be it economics, culture, information technology. There is not a single area where we cannot work together, including in the region, for the benefit of our common interests,” Botsan-Kharchenko emphasized.
“The center will be the starting point for all business people from Serbia who want to contact partners from Russia, as well as exchange ideas and establish sports, cultural, economic, technical and any other cooperation,” said the head of the institution, Alexander Brankovic, at the opening ceremony.
In turn, member of the government of St. Petersburg, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Evgeniy Grigoriev said that the opening of the center is not an ordinary formality, because in this way St. Petersburg “shares its soul with Belgrade.”
“I want to emphasize that we are not just opening a center, but St. Petersburg is giving a piece of its soul and heart to Belgrade, to its brothers,” Grigoriev said. He added that the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, also shares the same opinion.
Secretary for Economic Affairs of the City of Belgrade Nikola Kozovic also expressed satisfaction with the opening of the center.
“I sincerely believe that cooperation between businessmen from St. Petersburg and Serbia will be successful, and that together we will justify the opening of this center. I hope that we will meet again in this place soon with concrete results,” Kozovic said.
The St. Petersburg Information and Business Center has opened in Belgrade.
