In 2017, 5 thousand people ceased to be Ukrainians
Almost 5,2 thousand people lost their Ukrainian citizenship in 2017, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported in the administration of Petro Porlshenko in response to a request from the Ukrainian News agency.
“Decrees on the termination of citizenship were issued as a result of the renunciation of citizenship by 4296 persons, the loss of citizenship by 47 persons and on the grounds provided for by international treaties regarding 825 persons,” the publication said.
At the same time, during 2017, 957 persons were granted Ukrainian citizenship, of which 94 were stateless persons.
