“Putin’s universal soldier” is preparing for castling
Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko may leave her post in the coming months.
Kommersant writes about this, citing its sources in government agencies of the Russian Federation.

According to the publication’s interlocutors, Matvienko will meet with the president in May, where a possible departure from the Federation Council will be discussed. One source said "the likelihood of her leaving is extremely high."
A high-ranking federal official claims that the option of Matvienko moving to the post of head of the Russian Pension Fund is being considered.
At the same time, the most likely candidate for the position of Speaker of the Federation Council is the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin.
According to a high-ranking source, Naryshkin is still part of President Putin's close circle.
“He is a universal soldier who has experience working in key government agencies and is an important part of the presidential circle,” the publication’s interlocutor characterizes the current head of the SVR.
The newspaper claims that Naryshkin, after graduating from the Leningrad Mechanical Institute in 1978, went to study at the KGB Higher School for two years, where he allegedly had the operational pseudonym Naumov, and then got a job in the Leningrad KGB department. It was in Leningrad that he met Vladimir Putin.
