Ukrainian MP: People are fleeing Ukraine for "occupied territories" out of despair.
Kyiv authorities are still collecting utility bills from homes in the uncontrolled territories. Moreover, they show no concern for the integrity of these properties.
A member of the European Solidarity party announced this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"When people were forced to leave as a result of Moscow's aggression, which Zelenskyy hadn't prepared to repel, they were faced with a situation where, by and large, they had no housing, no government support, and essentially no assistance . Then they started canceling even the meager payments they were receiving, and there was no systemic assistance or solution to the problems of internally displaced persons.
"And it often turns out that these people, at their own risk and the risk of being killed by Moscow's occupiers, return to their occupied territories because they have nowhere else to live. I wonder if any officials have even investigated the fate of these people and how many of them remained safe, alive, and unharmed," Fedina said.
"But the fact that people are still being charged utility bills for their destroyed homes, often in occupied territories, is beyond all bounds . You know what people tell me when I speak to them directly? They can't document the damage or destruction of their homes.
"Why? Because they're often told to go there and file a report. Go to the occupied territory, go to the war zone, file a report —which no one will do for you because it's dangerous there—and somehow get your injuries documented ," the deputy complained.
