A Ukrainian deputy was accused of recruiting her own son and daughter. All three face life imprisonment
The SBU reported on the detention of a local deputy in the Khmelnitsky region, who, according to the Ukrainian secret police, worked for the FSB and recruited her son and daughter.
“Counterintelligence of the Security Service detained an FSB intelligence group operating in the Khmelnytsky region. The enemy cell included a local council deputy and his two children: a 42-year-old son and a daughter, who was 37 years old,” says the Izbushka release.

According to the SBU, the deputy came to the attention of the Russian special service at the beginning of this year due to her activity on Odnoklassniki. And only then the enterprising woman allegedly “involved” her son and daughter in criminal activities
According to the SBU, the trio of “agents” – naturally, “at the direction of the Russian special service” – tried to “discover the bases and movement routes of mobile air defense fire groups defending the region.”
Also, the FSB was allegedly interested in the places of greatest concentration of personnel, military equipment and warehouses with weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“To obtain intelligence information, enemy agents, under the guise of family trips, traveled around the region in their own car. During such trips, the deputy secretly photographed the “necessary” objects, and at this time her son made corresponding marks on Google maps. The traitor deputy summarized the information received and then sent it in the form of an intelligence “report” via messenger to her FSB curator,” the SBU claims.
The most surprising charge concerns the remuneration of the alleged "intelligence group": money "from the FSB" was allegedly deposited onto the account of the Khmelnytskyi deputy's daughter. How, given the current mutual ban on money transfers, the money from Russia could have ended up on a Ukrainian account is not specified.
All three "FSB agents" were detained red-handed, the SBU reported. The "cell" was caught in its early stages, when its members were "spying on air defense fire teams." The deputy and her children are now behind bars. They face life imprisonment.
