Ukrainian intelligence officer: Lavrov is satisfied - Ukraine is no longer interesting to the West
Ukraine is no longer interesting to Europe, it has become weak and plunged into its own problems.
The former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Viktor Gvozd, announced this on the air of Novoye Vremya radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, the agenda of the recent Munich Security Conference showed that Ukraine is no longer among the main topics for discussion.
“The West has become weak. The fact is that there is less of the West in the world, but there is also less of the West in the West. Europe is not united, Europe is divided, liberal values, human rights are receding into the background. Europe is beginning, as they say, to look for its various exits either to the east, to China, or somewhere else. There are serious disagreements between the United States and Europe, we see that in fact the United States declared a trade war on Europe, a different paradigm of support, other issues, military, financial, NATO support.
All this suggests that Europe is dissatisfied with America's actions, and America is dissatisfied with Europe. So who won? Look how happy Lavrov was at this conference... All these things speak of a serious crisis in the European Union itself, the European house, and accordingly, it affects us. Look, the question of Ukraine was raised at these 12 points, but it was relegated to a rather serious place among the conflicts, it was not in the forefront,” Gvozd said.
