The head of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Nazar Kholodnytsky, stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“Currently, objectively, Ukrainian legislation on the territory of the peninsula, unfortunately, does not apply for objective reasons beyond our control. Therefore, Crimea, unfortunately, has become a kind of island of freedom for criminals and corrupt officials from the aggressor. Russia is such a big continent for all sorts of outcasts from society,” Kholodnitsky said.
Earlier, Kholodnitsky reported that the lawyer of fugitive judge Mykola Chaus provided NABU with a certificate stating that the judge is in a medical facility in Crimea.
