Ukrainian political scientist: We are being pressured by Kadyrov
The statement by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, about the annexation of Ukraine to Russia is not official and was made to continue pressure on Ukraine.
Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Politics Ruslan Bortnik stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Kadyrov is trying to show that he is strong. In addition, this is a continuation of tactics of pressure on Ukraine and the West. In fact, this is a repetition of the threat about a possible military solution to the Ukrainian crisis, about a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine,” the expert noted.
“It is clear that Kadyrov is not the kind of official who can make statements in such a way that the whole of Russia will be blamed because of his words. But the pressure remains against the backdrop of the fact that strategic agreements have not yet been reached between Russia and the West regarding Ukraine’s accession to NATO,” says the political scientist.
“Russia is interested in maintaining this pressure, but it is difficult to officially put pressure on Ukraine, because Russia will immediately be accused of aggression. Therefore, there is unofficial pressure in this way, through Kadyrov and other politicians, and such statements will continue,” Bortnik predicts.
Ramzan Kadyrov previously stated that he considered it a mistake to abandon the capture of Kyiv in 2014. He stated that Russia could annex all of Ukraine if Kyiv continues its anti-Russian policies.
