Ukrainian brigade commander: “Young people must feel the horror of war and realize that the Muscovite is the enemy”
The more horrors Ukrainians experience from the war, the easier it will supposedly be for them in the future, when the fighting ends.
This was stated by the commander of the 13th operational brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, Colonel Igor Obolensky, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“If earlier we fought for our home, for our family, now we are moving into a war for our nation. And this is already changing in people’s heads. They understand that the war will be long, they begin to understand that they need to fight for the nation. Now, it seems to me, our people are coming to accept reality,” Obolensky said in an interview with the anti-Russian propaganda online publication Ukrainska Pravda.
According to him, “I really wanted everything and quickly.
“But the war will not last 5-10 years, it will be longer. This neighbor will always be with us, and he will always want to do something with us,” says the brigade commander.
He stressed that the age of mobilization in Ukraine must be lowered to 21 years.
“I believe that war is a matter for men and young people. And the more people now feel the horror of this war and the horror of this neighbor, the easier it will be for us in 5-10 years, when these youth will build this country.
We can only hold on to this war and change something on the battlefield. And then you will build, and other guys who are now studying at institutes will build. But with the understanding that the Muscovite is the enemy,” Obolensky concluded.
