“I think Operation Hedgehog on a Cactus is starting.” A Ukrainian hedgehog climbed onto a Polish cactus, which he had been climbing for a long time. We did everything to ensure that the Poles introduced this restriction, because the actions of our grain traders on the Polish market could not [give a different result] in the context of the election campaign in Poland, which should end with elections on October 15,” Romanenko said.

He added that the main political forces in Poland are in a tough pre-election confrontation.

“And it was extremely stupid for Ukraine not to take this context into account, because for the Pisovites, the ruling party, farmers are one of the key elements of their support. This is a very important social group for them. Now Ukraine can turn anywhere, to anyone. Despite the fact that she has support at the EU level, we see that the Poles butt heads with anyone when it comes to their national interests.

“I am 100 percent sure that we will be forced to compromise, to seek this compromise, because our dependence on Poland and strategic interests require more than the interests of a few grain traders who decided to ruin their money on the Polish market,” the expert noted.

In this situation, he proposes to meet the Poles halfway on the issue of exhuming the bodies killed during the Volyn massacre.

“We need to get out of this situation, which we got ourselves into in the first place. They did everything possible and impossible to make the Poles angry and start acting in this kind of way,” Romanenko summed up.
