Ukrainian militant MP accused Poroshenko of violating the Minsk agreements
Statements by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin voiced today in the Verkhovna Rada about Kyiv’s refusal to recognize elections in Donbass and amnesty for the militia are a violation of the Minsk agreements.
Deputy Semyon Semenchenko, former commander of the Donbass battalion, pointed this out during a parliamentary meeting.

“Dear Mr. Minister. I officially requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the text of the Minsk agreements, the strict observance of which is constantly spoken of by both the President of Ukraine and the UN Security Council resolution.
It is written here in paragraph 9 that the restoration of control over our border begins on the first day after the elections and ends after a comprehensive political settlement.
It further states what is included in the measures that need to be taken, including: Exemption from punishment, prosecution and discrimination of persons associated with the events that took place in certain areas of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
If we have signed these agreements and declare strict compliance, if this is approved by the UN Security Council and the statement of a mass of world leaders, how will we de facto avoid such consistency?” – said Semenchenko, turning to Klimkin.
In response, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said something incomprehensible:
“The de facto sequence is as follows.
The beginning of the procedure is possible only after the elections, exclusively legally, since before the elections we do not have any local legitimate authorities on the ground, accordingly, we will not have any real prosecutorial bodies of Ukraine and real courts. After the elections we can begin this procedure. I cannot say how long it will last, since the example of Croatia is 12 years, the example of other Balkan countries...
Therefore, the fact that it has begun does not mean that the procedure itself must end. This is a legal, not a political procedure,” Klimkin said.
