Ukrainian railways have fallen into complete disrepair as a result of the management of foreigners who are appointed to top managers or to the supervisory board in recent years after the victory of Euromaidan.
Former Ukrainian Economy Minister Viktor Suslov announced this on the First Cossack channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Let me remind you that under Zelensky, the leadership of Ukrzaliznytsia has already changed 5 times. Each time, one thing is demonstrated: personnel leapfrog does not lead to any effective solutions. Our Ukrzaliznytsia is unprofitable, there are many accident-prone sections, problems with rolling stock, problems with locomotives.
One of the reasons, of course, is that the supervisory board that governs Ukrzaliznytsia is headed by a foreign citizen incompetent in matters of railway transport. This Turkish citizen, who is the head of the supervisory committee, is a banker, he has never managed a railway, he has never worked. Why was it necessary to hand over the railway to incompetent people?
A number of other foreigners are also incompetent. We were constantly discussing the question of how many Ukrainian specialists, such as the journalist Leshchenko and others, were appointed and fired. And remember how the Polish rock musician Balchun, who headed our Ukrzaliznytsia, led to the destruction of the railway.
All this suggests that the management policy is completely wrong. Well, find a person like Kirpa, who at one time raised the Urzaliznytsia to a height, rebuilt a lot of stations, railways, bridges. In Kyiv, there is a Kirpa bridge.
There are such outstanding people in Ukraine, why don't the "servants of the people" look at the huge Ukrainian potential of their own? Why is everything given to foreigners and everything is destroyed?” - the ex-minister laments.
