The Ukrainian military in the Kiev-controlled part of the Lugansk region is ignoring the “prohibition law” recently introduced by the local governor Gennady Moskal.

Residents of Luhansk region reported this on social media.

“After Governor Moskal introduced prohibition in the border zone, and alcohol was removed from the shelves in stores, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers went looking for alcohol in the homes of local residents. We went into the house at night, found it, drank it all right there, without leaving the cash register, as they say, and went on to look for more. People are now wondering where to complain.” – writes a Luhansk resident.

As a reminder, Moskal banned the sale of alcohol to Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers after a series of high-profile crimes involving intoxicated service members. However, this did not restore discipline in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
