“Ukrainian crews have already been trained on the Patriot air defense system” - Kiev military expert
American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems can hit both aircraft and missiles, and their transfer to Ukrainian territory suggests that the Ukrainian military has been training for six to nine months to operate them.
Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Snegirev stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It can work against aircraft, and accordingly, against cruise missiles (American Patriot air defense system - ed.). That is, this is a serious weapon. It was first used in 1991 during the Gulf War. But I would like to draw your attention once again to the fact that the Patriot system is constantly being modernized,” he said.
“Moreover, it must be said that the transfer of the Patriot systems indicates that the Ukrainian crews have most likely already been trained. Because according to various estimates, training should last from six to nine months. Moreover, the maintenance personnel of the “Patriot” system are up to ninety people. Imagine, this is serious equipment,” said Snegirev.
