Ukrainian saboteurs attempted to break through into the LPR
A sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, trying to penetrate the territory of the LPR, entered a minefield, but suffered losses and was forced to retreat.
This information was announced today during a briefing by the official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Yesterday, an enemy sabotage group from the 10th mountain assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the orders of its commander, Colonel Vasily Zubanich, attempted to penetrate the territory of the republic in the area of the village of Zhelobok. A group of up to ten people was discovered by an observation post of the People's Militia; fire was not opened on the group. While attempting to pass, the saboteurs entered a minefield. As a result of a mine explosion, three Ukrainian security officials were killed,” said a representative of the defense department.
He also said that in order to evacuate the bodies of their dead, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the positions of the LPR People's Militia.
“Unfortunately, there were casualties on our part. Two defenders of the republic, suppressing the aggressive actions of the enemy, died,” Marochko concluded.
