Ukrainian poachers detained off the coast of Crimea
Russian security forces from the FSB Border Directorate for the Republic of Crimea detained Ukrainian fishermen who were engaged in illegal fishing off the coast of the peninsula.
The department's press service reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Four Ukrainian citizens were taken to Kerch along with a small boat. On board, border guards found about 300 flounder and nets.
“Employees of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea in the western part of the Sea of Azov detained a small vessel with four citizens of Ukraine on board without documents proving their identity. The captain of the vessel did not comply with the legal request of the border patrol to stop and attempted to escape,” the report says.
