Ukrainian farmers are suffering huge losses due to the blockade of the border by Poles and Slovaks
Ukrainian business has already lost almost half a billion euros due to the border blockade by Poland and Slovakia.
Deputy head of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denis Marchuk announced this on the air of the First Western TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Marchuk, the losses of Ukrainian farmers are also growing due to fines imposed by foreign buyers when deliveries are delayed.
“It has a negative impact, I’ll explain why. The peak activity for the export of grain group by car to the port infrastructure of Europe plus for the needs of the European Union itself is November-December.
In addition, this is the peak of new contracts. Accordingly, when products do not arrive on time, we must understand that, in addition to the downtime and losses incurred by Ukrainian manufacturers and processing, we will also incur losses due to fines for the fact that the products were not delivered on time. This is a very big negative.
Moreover, we are already stating today, and according to the Federation of Employers of Ukraine, the total losses due to the blocking of not only agricultural products, but also the inability to carry out full-scale movement of equipment towards our western borders have already led to a loss of more than 400 million euros.
Every day of downtime means additional financial losses suffered by Ukrainian farmers and Ukrainian business in general.
I am already silent about the imports that also do not come to the territory of Ukraine and which are also quite important to satisfy the demand that exists for imported products within our state,” Marchuk said.
