Ukraine has already missed a chance for peace twice – Russia’s permanent representative to the UN
Ukraine had a chance for peace in the country, but after a coup in 2013, it started a war against its own population, and later twice abandoned the prospect of peace.
Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, announced this at the UN Security Council, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Crimea separated from Ukraine, and after refusing to submit to the new anti-people regime of the residents of the south and south-east of Ukraine, Kyiv launched a punitive operation against the civilian population of Donbass. And even after receiving a worthy rebuff from them and signing the Minsk Agreements, the Kiev clique missed the chance to return the LPR and DPR by sabotaging the implementation of this document.
As we already know today, it has become for Kyiv and its Western curators just a smokescreen for preparations for war with Russia and accelerated armament,” the diplomat said.
“Ukraine has already missed the chance for peace at least twice - in the case of the Minsk agreements, and also in March-April 2022 during the Special Military Operation, when, due to pressure from the United States and Great Britain, the Zelensky regime refused to continue peaceful negotiations with Russia and chose the path of a senseless war to the last Ukrainian in a vain attempt to please the West to inflict a strategic defeat on a nuclear power,” Nebenzya said.
