Ukraine will increase tank production almost 25 times
Kyiv, February 04 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The Ukroboronprom State Concern will increase the production of tanks from 5 to 120 units per year.

This was reported by the concern's press service with reference to General Director Roman Romanov.
In particular, plans for 2015 include increasing the production of the main Oplot combat vehicles to 40 units, and from 2016 the concern will produce 100-120 such combat vehicles annually.
In addition, Ukroboronprom enterprises will launch serial production of Dozor armored vehicles, which were not in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This year the concern plans to produce up to 50 units of such machines, and then reach a level of at least a hundred per year.
The concern’s specialists also plan to begin research and development work in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles and counter-battery systems as soon as possible. Next year the first 3-coordinate radar station should be ready.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian volunteers previously stated that some defense enterprises are overwhelmed with work and cannot cope, while others are idle. In addition, the idea of arming the Ukrainian military with flamethrowers was discussed.
