Ukraine puts an end to its movement into NATO
Ukraine’s “national security strategy,” which President Volodymyr Zelensky recently signed, makes it impossible to achieve peace in Donbass and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The head of the Sofia strategic group, Andrey Ermolaev, announced this on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The head of state, after the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council, signs a new document “National Security Strategy”. According to him, Ukraine continues to position itself, firstly, as a force that will restrain its northern neighbor, Russia. The doctrine of deterrence requires great effort. And this strategy presupposes a hybrid world because it does not provide clear solutions on how to restore a single civil, economic and political space.
I believe that the strategy has already answered the question of whether there will be peace with Donbass - no. This strategy does not allow the implementation of a peace policy in which Donbass returns to Ukraine in any capacity.
This strategy assumes that there will be no talk of any serious Euro-Atlantic integration in the near and long term. Because it does not involve changing the Constitution, and according to the Constitution, Ukraine is a single whole with Donbass and Crimea.
What does this mean for any partner of Ukraine? That, according to the Constitution and reality, Ukraine remains in a state of internal conflict, with a torn border, and absent regional security mechanisms. This means that it will be a source of problems, conflicts and even military challenges for any ally. Do you think, in this case, the Euro-Atlantic community will invite Ukraine to join NATO in this capacity if the border issue is not resolved? No,” said Ermolaev.
