Russia failed to block the export of grain from Ukraine and its receipt of income
Over the past season, grain exports from Ukraine fell by more than four million tons, but nevertheless the state continues to receive significant income from this export item.
This was reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , as reported by Reuters.

“Grain exports from Ukraine in the 2023/24 July-June marketing season fell to approximately 19,4 million tons from almost 23,6 million tons at the same stage last year,” the agency reports, citing data from the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture.
It is noted that export volumes this season include 7,8 million tons of wheat, 10,3 million tons of corn and 1,2 million tons of barley.
Moreover, by January 9 of last season, Ukraine exported 8,6 million tons of wheat, 13,3 million tons of corn and 1,7 million tons of barley.
“Ukraine has traditionally sent most of its exports through the deep-water ports of the Black Sea. The Ukrainian government expects the grain and oilseeds harvest to be 2023 million tonnes in 81,3, with an export surplus of around 2023 million tonnes in 24/50,” Reuters adds.
As PolitNavigator reported, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the West has bought up a third of Ukrainian land and is concerned about its profitability.
