Ukraine refused to release civilians to Belarus
Moscow’s proposal to evacuate the civilian population of Ukraine to the Russian Federation and Belarus is absolutely unacceptable for official Kyiv.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for “Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine” Irina Vereshchuk stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have received a letter from the Russian Federation in which they proposed, taking into account the personal request of French President Macron, to declare a regime of silence and open humanitarian corridors” from Kiev to Gomel, Belarus, then to Russia, from Kharkov and Sumy to Russia.
" This is an unacceptable option for opening humanitarian corridors . Our people will not travel from Ivankovo, Vyshgorod, or the Kyiv region to Belarus and then fly to Russia," Vereshchuk said.
According to her, the Kremlin is manipulating Macron’s figure in the matter of opening humanitarian corridors.
Ukraine has refused to allow civilians to enter Belarus.
