Ukraine is turning from a presidential republic into a super-presidential republic
The new speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, has no political ambitions and will only be an executor of the will of President Zelensky.
The head of the Third Sector center, Andrei Zolotarev, stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Stefanchuk is a former teacher at the Academy of Advocacy. I think he has a good grasp of the law. But his most important quality is his lack of political ambitions. Surely he will be able to ensure the accelerated adoption of the law to which Razumkov objected. Actually, its function will be purely technical. Now Ukraine is turning from a presidential republic into a super-presidential republic,” the expert believes.
“Thus, Stefanchuk is the executor of Zelensky’s will due to the lack of political ambitions. Accordingly, he will talk about himself as a member of the team and will keep up with the team. He definitely won’t balk at the regulations or procedural issues like Razumkov,” concluded Zolotarev.
