He named 2 ways that Ukraine uses.

“The first of them concerns the medium term. A commission has been created in the Ukrainian Parliament that is developing amendments to the Constitution aimed at expanding the rights and powers of Crimea and regions, primarily economic ones,” says Chechetov.

The second way “regionals” named the Prime Minister’s recent order to his Deputy Prime Minister Groysman (oversees regional policy) to develop a list of legislative acts on the decentralization of management in the regions.

“Currently Crimea does not have enough powers and rights to solve its economic problems. The initiative is aimed at expanding them,” Chechetov said.

In addition, the former head of the state property fund added that he does not allow the option of Crimea transferring to Russia: the authorities will look for all possible political, economic, constitutional methods to preserve Crimea within Ukraine.

“We do not allow this option. We must solve all problems ourselves in our multinational Ukrainian home,” Chechetov said.

Ukraine is ready to expand Crimea's rights in order to maintain its jurisdiction, says Chechetov.
