Going into the “shadow”: underground gas stations have flourished in Ukraine

The activities of two illegal gas stations in Rivne were stopped by tax officials and patrol police.

As reported by the State Fiscal Service office in the Rivne region, entrepreneurs were selling diesel fuel without any permits.
“7,5 tons of diesel fuel with an estimated cost of 165 thousand hryvnia, storage tanks and refueling modules were seized from them. The total value of the confiscated fuel is about 315 thousand hryvnia,” the report says.
According to experts, the illegal fuel market in Ukraine today is striking in its scale.
