Poltava, October 27 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Sergei Kaplin, a candidate from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party, won the elections to the Verkhovna Rada in single-mandate constituency No. 144 in Poltava.

According to the Central Election Commission's website , after counting 100% of the electronic protocols from precinct commissions, Kaplin received 46,30%. His closest rival, Yuri Krivosheyev, candidate from the People's Front party, received 11,77%.
As a member of the previous Verkhovna Rada from the UDAR party, Kaplin is remembered for his proposals to "not put the people in a difficult situation ," to create a ministry for ATO veterans , and much more. He also claimed that Ukraine's problems in Donbas could be solved by eliminating Vladimir Putin.
As PolitNavigator reported, Irina Farion failed miserably in the Lviv region.
