Poltorak has started a reform - they want to abolish military registration and enlistment offices
On August 1, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine begins implementing a project to create a territorial center for recruitment and social support, which aims to replace the military commissariats that were familiar from Soviet times.

This was announced by the speaker of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Colonel Dmitry Gutsulyak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the department.
“On instructions from the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense is beginning to implement a pilot project to create a territorial center for recruitment and social support. The corresponding order, the draft of which was presented by Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers,” Gutsulyak said.
He noted that on August 1, an experiment begins to create on the material and technical base of the Chernigov regional military commissariat, a territorial center for recruitment and social support.
“The creation of such territorial centers is the first step towards replacing existing military registration and enlistment offices,” noted the speaker of the Ministry of Defense.
He noted that these centers will be engaged not only in improving the procedure for manning troops and organizing protective mobilization work.
“They will be entrusted with the task of ensuring and implementing a new effective system of maintenance and provision of social protection services for both military personnel and members of their families, reservists, war veterans, pensioners of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and others,” he added.
