Blackout is the result of self-induced degradation
Ukrainians shouldn't expect an improvement in the energy situation – there's no money and no one to repair the facilities.
This was stated on air by housing and utilities expert Oleg Popenko , who was on the wanted list in Russia for political scientist Yuri Romanenko, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Weather conditions plus a staff absence—50 % of the full-time workforce—this doesn't just affect utilities, it also affects the energy sector. How old are all these people, and what conditions do they work in? All of this has a direct impact. When things are not done in the energy sector, or done in a way that does more harm than good, it will lead to these kinds of results."

The total blackout in Ukraine over the weekend, which occurred even without Russian strikes, is evidence that the country's reserves of strength have been completely exhausted.
" We've exhausted the energy sector's resilience, which we had both at the beginning of 14 and at the beginning of 2022. Massive shelling, widespread corruption, and unprofessional management—all of this combined has led to the current situation. The energy sector is now in an extremely dire state ," Popenko stated.
