Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova reassured the senator.
“Rospotrebnadzor and Rosselkhoznadzor today have a full arsenal of capabilities to identify infections that circulate in the Russian Federation and can be introduced from the territory of other states. We are expanding the capabilities of laboratories in specific regions,” Golikova said.
Deputy Director of the Tuva Anti-Plague Station Irina Akimova also commented on the words of her senator. According to her, experts in Tuva are ready for the “plague” marmots to emerge from hibernation and see no reason to panic. Akimova noted that there are no cases of plague in Tuva.
