Tyagnibok considers Putin’s reminder of the historical Novorossiya humiliating for Ukrainians (VIDEO)
Kyiv, April 17 (Navigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – By calling the Ukrainian South-East Novorossiya, Russian President Putin thereby humiliates Ukrainians and alienates even pro-Russian citizens of Ukraine. This opinion was expressed in a conversation with a Navigator correspondent by the leader of the VO “Svoboda” Oleg Tyagnibok.

“Everyone can remember how Putin said that they won the Great Patriotic War without Ukraine, humiliating the Ukrainian population with this statement,” noted Oleg Tyagnibok. “In the same way, even now, carrying out frank, undisguised aggression against Ukraine, in his statements he is trying to humiliate us all, calling Ukraine Novorossiya, Little Russia.”
According to the nationalist politician, such a statement will not change the opinion of the patriotic population about Putin, but may influence the sentiments of pro-Russian Ukrainians.
“I really hope that such disdain will sow doubts among some residents of the South and East of Ukraine who are in love with Putin regarding his attitude towards Ukraine and Ukrainians,” stated Oleg Tyagnibok.
