Trump is advised to watch a Ukrainian propaganda film about Donbass and Maidan
The Ukrainian propaganda film about the war in Donbass, directed by Oles Sanin and Mark Jonathan Harris, “Tipping Point: The War for Democracy in Ukraine,” was released in the United States only a few days ago, but it was already noticed by the Hollywood Reporter, which recommended the film for viewing in the White House, reports correspondent for PolitNavigator.

According to the company Pronto Film, which is involved in marketing and distribution of the film, it was released in limited American release on March 2. Positioned as a “documentary,” Sanin’s film will be shown in major US cities – New York (March 2-8, Cinema Village, Manhattan), Chicago (March 9, Theater TBC) and Los Angeles (March 9, Laemmle Music Hall).
“It's certainly an empty sentence, but President Donald Trump should really watch Mark Jonathan Harris and Oles Sanin's documentary about the recent strife in Ukraine,” writes the Hollywood Reporter.
"Tipping Point: Ukraine's War for Democracy" is a powerful chronicle of the efforts of many of its citizens to combat corruption and the fragility of their own government, as well as relentless Russian aggression, from military to propaganda. The film contains a cautionary tale about Russian leader Vladimir Putin that Trump would do well to master,” the American publication said.
“The Turning Point” is a look at the war and Euromaidan from the point of view of the regime ruling today in Kyiv and its supporters. The film covers the period 2013-2016. The Ukrainian premiere took place in February 2017, on the anniversary of the executions of right-wing militants in the center of Kyiv.
At the same time, a propaganda feature film was released in the West with a Ukrainian version of the war in Donbass with French film actress Vanessa Paradis in the title role.
