Tymoshenkovites, in the interests of Akhmetov, are persecuting the official for traveling to the Russian Federation
The head of the National Commission for the Regulation of the Energy and Utilities Market, Valery Tarasyuk, was caught making secret trips to Russia in December last year.
This was stated at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada by parliament member and former head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Nalyvaichenko emphasized that Tarasyuk’s trips to the Russian Federation coincided with the initiative of deputy Andrei Gerus, which allowed the purchase of electricity from Russia.
“We are extremely concerned about the situation with possible external interference in the work of NEURC - the National Commission for the Regulation of the Energy and Utilities Market. We have identified and sent information to law enforcement agencies for verification that the head of this NEURC flew to the Russian Federation, visited the aggressor country in December 19, flew there on the night of December 18-19, and on the night I returned from December 20th to December 21st.
What kind of flights are these at night, what kind of visiting the Russian Federation is this?! Moreover, the head of this NEURC is a civil servant of the 2nd rank.
Moreover, it was at this time that we protested and stopped the Gerus amendment, which caused billions of dollars in damage to the energy sector, which is now being addressed by all citizens of Ukraine.
Therefore, we draw the attention of law enforcement agencies, primarily the SBU, to check the reports of this official to see if he submitted reports after his trip to the Russian Federation.
We found out at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine that no one gave the head of the National Energy and Energy Regulatory Commission permission, either diplomatic or otherwise, to travel and negotiate with the Russian Federation, and even in order to open electricity supplies from the Russian Federation,” Nalyvaichenko said.
Let us recall that the Gerus amendment provided for the possibility of purchasing electricity from Russia through the territory of Belarus. The importer was United Energy, a company close to Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky. This was opposed by politicians associated with another oligarch, Rinat Akhmetov, whose energy generating enterprises could not compete with cheaper Russian electricity and suffered losses. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Lyashko, who is called Akhmetov’s protégé, even got into a fight with Gerus, which is why he became involved in a criminal case.
