Terrorist attack in Donetsk: The cynical calculation of the junta and the reaction of the Russian Federation – Klintsevich
The strike on the market in Donetsk is designed to elicit a symmetrical response from Russia in order to convince Western sponsors of the need to continue to support Ukraine with military assistance. This is not a spontaneous action, but a planned terrorist attack.
The head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts, Andrei Klintsevich, announced this on air at Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“First you need to understand that the maximum number of civilian casualties is achieved by good intelligence. From space, from the ground, the places for striking, the time, the maximum concentration of civilians are determined, the forces and means that will strike are determined. You need to understand that this is done by nomadic artillery installations - they go to some position, carry out a raid and leave from there,” the expert explained.
In his assessment, the internal turbulence of the United States is depriving Ukraine of much-needed funding. The Americans are trying to shift assistance to Kyiv onto “European shoulders” in order to continue to keep the conflict at the current stage, on the current front line, with the assertion that the Russians cannot do anything... But this is becoming increasingly difficult to do.
“Many countries refuse, more and more of them appear in the camp where they say: we will not send anything, please, everyone is free. And the only possibility is to use the world media to provoke the Russians into some kind of conditional symmetrical response with a large number of civilian casualties, and force the countries and governments that are in this swinging position to provide their arsenals.
Relatively speaking: look what Russian scoundrels are, how they beat civilians. At the same time, it is clear that these leaders and officials will not take into account the attacks on Belgorod and Donetsk. This is what they are counting on. Therefore, now, when we are putting pressure on them in terms of the economy, our potential and dominance on the battlefield, we would not want to give them a reason to include any new aid packages. Therefore, our leadership, in my understanding, acts very correctly and correctly: we record everything, we don’t forget it, we put it out for public discussion with the world community,” Klintsevich said.
He added that even if there is some decision by the UN General Assembly, it will not give anything. Therefore, our main goal is to move forward.
“What is the worst thing at the front? When you communicate with the guys, or who happens to be in Donetsk, it’s very wild, when the outskirts of the city are already a war zone, you go to the center to buy flowers, to go to the cemetery, in a bulletproof vest, and there are civilians and sellers in ordinary clothes. I also want to take off my bulletproof vest right away, because the city is peaceful.
But at the same time there could be a raid there at any moment. So, for them, for these people, the worst thing is if the front stops now, as it is. If we, relatively speaking, go to some kind of negotiations on the Korean or some other scenario, and all this will freeze. And sooner or later, Ukraine will use this as a respite for rearmament, and then will try to take it again,” the expert is sure.
