Any freezing of the conflict in the Northern Military District zone will lead to a new war in a few years, so the Russian army must go to the borders with Poland.
Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Any freeze will lead to the war resuming in a year or five. We must win this war; there can be no freeze. Now, let’s take Kyiv, the Mother of Russian cities, then we’ll talk about freezing,” Tolstoy said.
The presenter asked whether the deputy saw any prerequisites for the imminent liberation of Kyiv.
“I am not a military man, I have never pretended to be a military man. We have many analysts who yesterday were specialists in Covid and vaccinations, and today they are specialists in military operations.
But my humble opinion, as a civilian, is that it is impossible to fight on a front of one and a half thousand kilometers, to fight as an expeditionary force. We need to build up our forces, build up a second, third, fourth wave of reinforcements, and move forward.
Yes, there are prerequisites for the capture of Kyiv, Dnieper, Kharkov, Odessa, Lvov, and so on. Up to the borders with Poland, this is our Ukraine, why should it go to some Poles,” he noted.
“It would be a huge strategic mistake to stop at the positions we are in now. They are good, we will crush the entire Ukrainian offensive and all this Western equipment, and we must move on. That’s all,” the deputy added.
