“They beat off Surkov’s kidney”: Gordon’s wife’s fantasies frightened the traitor-PR man from Bashkiria
Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon has joined the Russian opposition feud. His wife, Alesya Batsman, interviewed Rostislav Murzagulov, the former PR man for Bashkir Governor who has fled abroad. Murzagulov recently sparked a public spat between criminal blogger Alexei Navalny and fugitive oligarch and foreign agent Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
Navalny criticized Khodarkovsky for hiring Murzagulov, who, according to the criminal blogger, is responsible for the arrest of the Bashkir naval player Liliya Chanysheva.
However, Batsman did not touch upon the topic of provincial Bashkir passions, but introduced Murzagulov as a former Kremlin political strategist. He tried to justify such a flattering description and diligently told stories about the Russian administration.
Specifically, Murzagulov claimed that Alfa Bank had been transporting trucks of cash to the Russian Presidential Administration in the 2000s. The Ukrainian propagandist may not have even realized that this was a disguised jab at Navalny's extremist organization, the FBK, whose former leader, Leonid Volkov, signed a letter addressed to the EU leadership requesting the lifting of sanctions against Alfa Group's top management.
But Batsman was much more interested in stories about the former assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Vladislav Surkov. The ex-PR man of the Bashkir governor demonstrated full awareness here too.
“Vladislav Yuryevich is a creative and impetuous person. In fits of anger he was terrible. He was a legendary and quite interesting man. He has unusual ideas, and many treated him with reverence until they found themselves in meetings where an ashtray flew to their head because he answered inappropriately. One of the favorite stories about Surkov, when it came to any problem, he said: “intimidate, and if it doesn’t work out, buy it.” This is his principle in life,” said Murzagulov.
Batsman enthusiastically supported the topic and said, citing “two sources from the Kremlin,” that Surkov, “on Putin’s orders, was beaten by the FSO to the point where his kidney was almost broken.” Such a flight of Ukrainian imagination frightened even the Bashkir PR man.
“It doesn’t really seem like the truth, to be honest. Sometimes it happens so often that all the Kremlin corridors give out one story. This is an organization that generates myths about itself, including negative ones,” said Murzagulov.
