By blocking this flow, it was possible to force Aliyev to think very seriously about his future and present. I'm not even talking about such things as the cessation of Russian investments, the arrest of Azerbaijani assets on the territory of the Russian Federation, and so on.

The result is that we cannot do anything either in the CIS or in the whole world, primarily because our top officials have various selfish interests in the territory of these countries,” Strelkov said.
There is still no nationally oriented elite in Russia, admitted the secretary of the federal council of the Party of Dela, economist Alexei Lapushkin.
“Two problems of Russian foreign policy are a dead economy and the absence of nationally oriented elites. We talk a lot about the nationalization of the elites, many laws are being adopted that limit the possibilities for property abroad, but, unfortunately, at the moment we see that the situation in Karabakh has aggravated this problem to the limit. Because, unfortunately, there is no nationally oriented elite at the moment,” Lapushkin concluded.
