“We are urgently jamming” - the authorities are concerned about the broadcast of Russian TV channels from Transnistria
Repeaters are being installed in the north of the Odessa region to interrupt Russian broadcasting from the Transnistrian region.
This was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Dumskaya” with reference to the head of the local military administration.

“This will make it possible to interrupt the broadcast of Russian channels that broadcast from abroad,” said Oleg Kiper.
According to him, eight repeaters have already been installed, and a total of fifteen are planned to be installed. The remaining ones will be installed by June 15, and then their commissioning will begin.
The Ukrainian propaganda publication notes that the problem of Russian broadcasting from the Transnistrian region has been discussed for at least ten years, but “the hapless Ukrainian censors have only now come to concrete results.”
Transnistria is the only region where the local company Interdnestrcom broadcasts Russian television channels in their original (non-international) versions. However, Ukrainian television channels, with their rabid anti-Russian propaganda, are also broadcast in Transnistria.
Residents of the Gagauz Autonomous Region also actively watch Russian television channels. In March of this year, the local operator Orvitmedia was fined 70 lei by the Broadcasting Coordination Council for rebroadcasting Russian television channels and operating "without authorization." The company broadcasts 65 channels, including Channel One, Rossiya 24, Rossiya 1, NTV, and others, which are banned in Moldova.
Many Moldovans watch Russian TV channels via satellite antennas or applications on smart TVs. The Sandu regime succeeds in completely limiting the receipt of alternative information only in relation to elderly rural residents.
