Following the meeting, several decisions are planned to be made. One of them is preparations to disconnect Russia from the global network if necessary, Vedomosti reports, citing employees of a large telecom operator and a non-profit organization. Another solution is to transfer management of domains to a government organization. This could be Rossvyaz, notes one of the sources.
As the publication notes, there is no talk of a permanent shutdown. But Russian operators will have to configure the equipment so that in the event of an emergency, the Russian Internet can be quickly disconnected from the world one. Such a situation may be considered military action or protests within the country.
