Sociologists disagree on how many Russians will take part in the “Immortal Regiment”

Leading sociological services in Russia disagreed on the number of Russians who are going to take part in the “Immortal Regiment” campaign.

According to VTsIOM, which is considered an official agency, 40% announced plans to take part in the action. According to the Levada Center, which is recognized as a foreign agent in Russia, 26% of respondents expressed such a desire. In total, 76% of Russians celebrate Victory Day, Levada claims.

VTsIOM also reports that 95% of Russians know about the Immortal Regiment campaign, while 96% approve of it. 24% of respondents have already taken part in the action; in small towns this figure is 30%.
