Sociologist: elections in Ukraine are impossible
An honest election campaign is impossible in the current situation in Ukraine.
Sociologist Evgeny Kopatko stated this during the program “Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today, I emphasize, the campaign is impossible. The turnout will be minimal, positions will move away, there will be no equal conditions for conducting a campaign, and there will be more mutual hatred in the struggle for power,” the sociologist said.
In order to hold elections “the white way,” he believes, “you need to bring the situation under a certain line, or clean it up,” because the current president is not able to win in any region of Ukraine.
“If you look at the situation as a whole, then “was it worth playing preference with such cards.” But some pressure will be applied to ensure that representatives of political forces get together and hold these elections,” Kopatko said.
