Fake news media are passing off the 2018 plane crash as a burnt-out LNA helicopter
A number of Russian publications are disseminating false reports from Turkish news agencies about a downed helicopter in Libya. They use footage from two years ago as evidence.
Some Turkish media reported that a helicopter carrying Wagner PMC fighters allegedly crashed in the central part of the North African country. The corresponding statement was made by the representative of the command of joint operations of the forces of the illegitimate Government of National Accord (GNA) of Libya in Sirte and Jufra, General Abdulhadi Darah.

The photo journalists are using to confirm their claims of a disaster turned out to be from a 2018 story published by the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak, according to the Federal News Agency.
It reports that a cargo plane has crashed. The aircraft crashed a few minutes later at the Sharara oil field.
